Flare Gas Recovery Ejectors

Using Ejectors for Flare Gas Recovery

Traditionally, in the Oil & Gas industry, waste and surplus gas has been disposed of by flaring to atmosphere with gas flaring solutions. Today this process is becoming increasingly unacceptable as the industry progresses towards eliminating the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, whilst simultaneously conserving energy.

Organisations such as the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Partnership (GGFR) are encouraging members of the oil industry to endorse their zero flaring initiative. The demand for efficient, effective flare gas recovery equipment is rapidly increasing. It’s vital that recovery solutions can safely and economically compress waste/surplus gas back into the production process.

Ejectors are ideally suited to this application because they can utilise existing available high-pressure source (gas or liquid) to entrain and compress waste and surplus so that the gas can be recovered into production or used as fuel gas. With no moving parts and requiring no maintenance, Ejectors are the ideal gas flaring reduction technology and are the basis for our flare gas recovery units or FGRUs
